When I pass through the revolving doors into the glamorous lobby of Claridge’s in London (020-7629 8860; claridges .co.uk) I always feel a thrill. You enter a world of sophistication and wonderful service. I think it is genius how they have kept the best of the original decor and mixed it with wonderful modern design.
The doormen are charming, with a good dose of British humour, and the ladies’ powder room is always a treat. I recently photographed my Vanity Case catalogue in the Brooks Suite, which has fantastic Art Deco fittings and spectacular view from the balcony. Claridge’s is my ultimate treat.
